I've always thought I was a good writer but never thought anyone would enjoy reading what I had to say. I'm changing and growing every day that I've been on this journey that started one day in my office.
I had received the new job and promotion to a directors level role that I had been coveting for several years. I had been managing automotive component programs for almost 20 years and felt I knew enough to manage people, managing programs. However, as the company began to implode because the owner's were just investors and we're finished putting the lipstick on the pig to sell it I was feeling at a dead end. My year in this position taught me a lot but mainly that I was not living into my purpose, and worse yet I didn't know what that purpose was.
I came across an ad for high performance men's coaching and I always wondered what it would be like to have someone in your corner rooting for you, opening your eyes to the possibilities, and giving you a swift kick in the ass if you got stuck. Without much thought I dove in and it was extremely challenging. My coach, Joe Moffett, was a master, he saw right through my BS on a weekly basis and I quickly learned I couldn't make commitments without following through, I had much more potential than I realized, and that only irrational fears where what held me back.
During our first couple months I realized after an exercise I did to "discover your purpose" that my purpose in life was to "express and inspire health and wellness within myself and others with enthusiasm"!
From that point forward I've been all in for living into my values of personal growth, being in service, and mastery of my craft. This website and blog is a continuation of that and I hope you find value and inspiration through it!
